Welcome to Denman Island’s story and people
We love our island in the Salish Sea and want you to know all about the history of this beautiful place. There’s been a lot happen here starting with the first nations who thrived on the island for centuries before white settlement and have claim to the island to this day. Settlers, loggers and farmers, and latterly hippies and social activists have all shaped the heritage of Denman.
