The 2021 census found Denman Island population had grown to 1391 and had a median age
of 60.8. Although this median age is much higher than for all BC (42.8) other BC retirement
communities have much higher median ages! There were 881 private dwellings of which 695
were occupied. There were 90 tenant households.
